Video Embed Codes with Proxy

Your videos from within the courseware are now available as a fully authenticated widget that you can use anywhere you desire.

The first step is to let us at Credo support know that you want to use the widgets so we can set your account up for the authentication. The next step is set up your proxy to accept Credo domains. Depending on the type of proxy you use, there are different methods.

EZ Proxy:

There are just a few steps to setting up EZ Proxy access:

1. Provide us with the proxy prefix and proxy IP. If you're using EZ Proxy v6 or above, please include the IPv6 format IP if available. If you don't have this information, the vendor should be able to provide it.

2. Update your proxy configuration file as described below. More documentation on this process can be found on OCLC's site.

4. Add an SSL Certificate to support our secure site (https://). Documentation can be found on OCLC's site here

Configuring your EZ Proxy server

This is the EZProxy (http://www.oclc.org/us/en/ezproxy/) configuration to use for the Credo Courseware video widget:

If possible, add *credoreference.com

If not, add the following:

Title Credo Reference

URL auth.credoreference.com
DJ credoreference.com
HJ cdn.credoreference.com
HJ credoreference.com
HJ https://auth.credoreference.com

After that, simply copy and paste the following widget code. You will need to edit the "accessURL" and "loginURL" fields to change the bolded portions out to your proxy prefix. You may then edit the width or height attributes and change out the video ID (see the bolded lines of the widget code). A list of the video IDs is at the bottom of the page.

<div id="credoVideo"></div>
<script src="//code.jquery.com/jquery-1.11.3.js"></script>
<script src="//platform.credoreference.com/sdk/js/video-widget.js"></script>
<script>
Credo.VideoWidget.init({
    $: jQuery.noConflict(true),
    accessUrl: '//auth.credoreference.com.proxygsu-geo1.galileo.usg.edu/auth/access?callback=?',
    loginUrl: '//auth.credoreference.com.proxygsu-geo1.galileo.usg.edu/auth/success',
    selector: '#credoVideo',
    video: 'lfkghn5zai',
    width: 400
});
</script>

WAM (III) Proxy how-to

Here are the steps for setting up WAM Proxy access:

1. Provide us with the proxy server name and proxy IP. If you don't have this information, the vendor should be able to provide it.

2. Update your WAM forward table as described below

Configuring your WAM Proxy server

This is the WAM configuration to use for the Credo Courseware video widget:

You should add the following wildcard URL to your WAM forward table

*.credoreference.com

If you must specify each subdomain, here are the values to add:

search.credoreference.com
credoreference.com
cdn.credoreference.com
credoreference.com
auth.credoreference.com
login.credoreference.com
search.credoreference.com
support.credoreference.com
vle.credoreference.com
www.credoreference.com
https://cdn.credoreference.com
https://search.credoreference.com
HJ https://support.credoreference.com
HJ https://vle.credoreference.com
NeverProxy media.credoreference.com

After that, simply copy and paste the following widget code. You will need to edit the "accessURL" field to change it to fir your proxy URL configuration. You may then edit the width or height attributes and change out the video ID (see the bolded lines of the widget code). A list of the video IDs is at the bottom of the page.

<div id="credoVideo"></div>

   <script src="//code.jquery.com/jquery-1.11.3.js"></script>

   <script src="//platform.credoreference.com/sdk/js/video-widget.js"></script>

   <script>

   Credo.VideoWidget.init({

   });
