Federated search, or metasearch, is when a user enters a search term that goes out to several different databases; all those results then appear in the same place and users can navigate to them from there. 

Credo currently works with the following metasearch vendors:

360 Search (Serials Solutions)

  • 360 Search can be configured to search Credo resources.
  • To make your Credo results available in 360 Search search results, Credo will provide a Credo username and password associated with your account to Serials Solutions at your request.

Accessit

To set up your collection in Accessit, you'll need your Credo username and password, which can be obtained from support@credoreference.com. Email support for current Accessit customers at info@accessitlibrary.com.

Apollo (Biblionix)

EBSCOhost Integrated Search (EHIS)

  • EHIS can be configured to search Credo resources.
  • To make your Credo results available in EHIS search results, Credo will provide a unique IP address associated with your account to EBSCOhost at your request.

Encore Synergy (Innovative Interfaces/III)

  • Encore Synergy can be configured to search Credo resources.
  • You can request that Credo results be made available in Encore search results directly from III.
  • Please note: III uses screen scraping technology to harvest Credo resources, which, while supported, is more difficult to maintain since implementations will need to adjust their results processing as the Credo interface evolves over time.

Explorit (Deep Web Technologies)

  • To make your Credo results available in Explorit search results, Credo will provide access for a unique Deep Web IP address associated with your account at your request.

Follett Destiny One Search

To make your Credo results available in Follett search results, you must enable Credo in Destiny One Search.

    1. In your One Search Admin, select Catalog > Search Setup > Enriched Content Searches.
    2. Click the edit icon next to One Search Database Information
    3. Click "Add Databases"
    4. Click "Add" next to Credo Reference
    5. Enter your Credo username and password. Credo will provide you with a new Credo username and password associated with your account upon request.
    6. Configure the database as desired
    7. Click save

Metalib (Ex Libris)

  • MetaLib can be configured to search Credo entries.
  • To make your Credo results available in MetaLib search results, Credo will provide a Credo username and password associated with your account to Ex Libris at your request.

Muse (MuseGlobal)

  • Muse can be configured to search Credo resources.
