Credo offers an integration with the Springshare LibAnswers Chat Widget that allows users to reach out to a librarian right from your Credo pages.

Please note that only the Springshare chat service is available for integration at this time; other chat widget types are not currently supported. 

Steps to set up the LibAnswers Chat Widget

- Create a chat widget in your Springshare LibAnswers admin panel. See Springshare's articles for step-by-step info on generating the widget and needed value:

"Floating" Chat Widget:

"Slide-Out" Chat Widget:

-  Once created, take the hash value for that widget (it looks like hash=#####################" in the widget script). Take only the hash string letters/numbers, not anything else from the code. For example, if your widget code looks like this:

The hash value is 12345. 

- Add the hash value to this page of your Admin account (login required): https://admin.infobase.com/Account/AccountSettings?productId=376&productType=Credo

You can also navigate there after logging into the Infobase Admin Portal, finding the Credo resource, choosing Product Settings, then Settings:

 

- Log into the user side of your Credo account; you should see the widget as a little word bubble at the lower right or on the right side of the home page, depending on whether a floating or slide-out is used. Please note that the logo and library name in the chat widget expanded view are settings in your Springshare Admin portal.
